ever since i removed the fry after seven days of free swimming from the parents tank, they havent laid. they have went nine weeks now. are they mad? this is about the sixth group they have laid for me. they ate the eggs on the first two trys, i removed the eggs and raised them on the third. the fourth time they ate half and raised half. the last two times they raised them all but have been skipping alot of cycles after i remove the babies. the time before this they waited six weeks. is this normal?

I would think this is normal after a pair lays so many batches of eggs the female needs to mature more eggs and they will start laying again once those eggs mature. If you a breeding for production leaveing the fry with the parents will throw most pairs off some
